Hello chillens. Well, today was interesting.

Well, sort of interesting, at least. It was the first day of classes, so that's always fun. It's not fun for you guys to read, but cheer up; one day soon I just might write something more entertaining. Sadly, Tuesday is the day I have decided to assign the moniker "Day of Hell" to. Fortunately, the Tuesday of potential doom was wasted on syllabi as opposed to actual work. Let me begin by giving a rundown of my classes:

Introduction to International Affairs (IAFF 005): Crap.
Introduction to European History 1715-present (HIST 040): Decent.
Honors Proseminar (HONR 016:12): Three-quarters of the way decent.
Beginners' French (FREN 002:14): Crap.

Basketball Officiating is the single one of my classes that is not on this list--I will update on Friday when I have my first session. But I have to say that it's scary. My four real classes all meet on Tuesday (well, the history thing is a discussion on Tuesday, but still). It's like the day of death. Death I say. It doesn't help that two of those classes have received the crap rating. They may both be better than I have said, but IAFF is looking like it's going to be way too much work for way too little reward and in French, my professor has a shitty accent. I mean really really shitty. It surprised me immensely when she told us that this was her fourth semester teaching this stuff (well, it surprised me when I was able to decipher her butchered words). The worst thing is how she pronounces "D'accord." It's way closer to dah-kohr than it is to dah-kehr, lady! And it doesn't help when you add your American fucking accent!

Man. I just realized that I said "lady" instead of "bitch" right there. I would like to point that out right now to those who have criticized me for being a cursemonger. You can point right back and say that I used "fucking" in that very sentence, but you have to admit that "lady" was completely surprising and uncalled for.

As far as the classes, however: I definitely recall how I said things like "Islam is going to be really cool!" when it instead ended up being the least favorite of all of my classes as well as the one in which I obtained the lowest grade. (B? They gave me a B?!)

Let's just hope they work out such that the crap accomplishes a staggering metamorphosis of some sort. I think I'd like that.

In other news, I tried out for a play today, breaking my two and one half year spell of no auditions. There were only twenty-five or so kids there, but there were only four parts in the whole deal. We'll see if I make callbacks I'm guessing. Really, I don't have the time to do this sort of thing, but even still it would be quite fun, yes?

Plus I'm a much better actor now than I was two and one half years ago. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm good, but it does mean I've broken out of being piss-poor. It's a start, says I.

And that's all I've got for now. I apologize, kiddies. Maybe one day I'll slide back into a nice little groove and dance madly as I blog--and damn will I blog beautifully that day.

Hasta la byebye, little goats; remember to call the females "females" even though they don't like it. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I always say.

Ah, so I have not posted in a long while. As has often been said about pretty much everything I do, this is a recurring theme. With me.

And for that, Cantay says sorry (again). He can't put too much heart into it this time, though. The fact is, despite existing regret and despite desire to avoid replication of his actions, he knows he will repeat them, and therefore to ask forgiveness would be much too shallow. So the regret is expressed here so that its existence may be understood and acknowledged.

I may move on to more important matters now that that confusing bit of third-personism has been set aside. (Yearly quotas, you see--notice the parentheses? Themes that recur...) I have approximate ten hours before I am on my way to Washington DC, approximately thirteen before I arrive in the capital, and approximately fifteen (I'm being conservative in this estimate) until I finally see my girlfriend again. Hey, she hates it when I get sappy, but at this point, I think that this is allowed.

I think back to Odysseus now. I mean, here I am quite eager to get back after one month away from my girlfriend of something around two months, and there is a man who had been away for something close to forever from his wife of something close to forever + slightly more time. Can't blame him for all the crying that he did--even if he slept with Calypso (or I think it was Calypso) every night.

Well, my experience isn't entirely comparable to Odysseus's. Let's just say I didn't do no cryin'. Heh heh heh heh heh.

Yes. Yes, it is safe to say that I am asking for castration. It's what happens when you're me.

Oh, and this paragraph I'm dedicating to Kivae, who through searing wit and a bit of nagging reminded me that I had a blog to attend to (which I had forgotten about after finishing the previous paragraph--she showed me this one webcomic that I hadn't seen for a while and much ooooing ensued). Rock on, Kivae. And... keep reading my blog and radically increasing my audience by doing so. ^.^

I have to admit right now that I'm feeling this very strong urge to go back and finish that webcomic. Thankfully, I have a semi-coherent post ready for you guys, so I'm sure that you all won't mind if I cut it short. And if you do mind, then you suck. So there. Nyah.

Hasta la byebye, kidz0rs.

This one is an apology to Sarosh, who I let slip through the cracks in my commenting world.

Sarosh, I'm terribly sorry for never responding to your comment. I did indeed read it and I told myself "I really ought to respond to it," but I didn't think another comment would have been appropriate for some lame reason. Finally, now that I'm practically compelled to I actually respond this way. Pah.

I'm very sorry, Sarosh. I do a terrible job of keeping in contact with people even when the opportunity presents itself. I actually am quite excited that you're going to Turkey for Model UN. Naturally, I must follow with who are you, for which country, where in Turkey, and when? And also a bit of the how did you manage to arrange that, eh?

Of course, the sissy girly comments are still warranted. You can tell everyone you meet there all about my feminine side. Just right now you've got to give me the low down on this shaz.

And... even though this isn't so much a real entry as... no wait. It's as real as everything here. Hasta la byebye.

I hereby declare (again--see some earlier blog for something similar to this sentence [minus the parentheses, of course]) that Ben Folds kicks ass.

If there were ever any doubt in my mind about this fact, it would all be erased by the following line you can find in the little booklet that comes with the album Rockin' the Suburbs. Check it out:

"the roast beef combo's only nine ninety five (AUS) = $4.95 (US)"

I was shocked, amazed, and utterly stupefied by that small-text bit at the end. And then I promptly began to worship Ben Folds.

And now, in other news, I really wish I could make a top-ten list of movies like Eric had. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely certain that I've seen ten movies this year. Really, I probably have--perhaps something closer to twenty, actually--, I just can't remember them all. Alas, so it must be. I will, however, extol the virtues of Collateral, The Terminal, Motorcycle Diaries, Team America: World Police, and Sideways (the first two were taken directly from the list of top ten movies Eric put up and the last three were taken from the list of movies he wanted to see; yes, I do depend on Eric for my culture, which includes listing my culture).

In other news, for those who are uncertain, I am a Democrat. An angry, angry Democrat. Angry at Bush, angry at his own party, angry at pretty much everything, just as a good young Democrat should be. I appreciate the question. ^.^

Unfortunately, that is all I want to talk about my last post for now. I want to go on and sort of clarify myself, perhaps expound on a couple of grayish things, but I completely lack the initiative and motivation to do so right now.

I would now, in closing, like to wish everyone a happy new year. So... happy new year, folks! Here's to less bastardliness and more cookies! Hasta la byebye!
