Om nom nom

Hello once again, G-dogs, and welcome to another installment of Cantay's blog. ::Yawn:: Things have been pretty damn tiring recently, and having forgotten that fact while reading Sluggy Freelance (this one's real) has not helped very much for times like these when reality smacks me in the face with a cold, scaly, poorly gutted fish.

But let's not talk about that, shall we? Let's talk about more pleasant things! Like my PS2! ...And the game I rented from Hollywood Video that's about two weeks overdue now. Boy, that's gonna be some late fine. What game is it, you ask? Dynasty Warriors 4. Lots of fun for a while and lots of killing and stuff like that, but unfortunately it tends to get rather monotonous after a while and I actually haven't played it since I yoinked it from the little table near our front door (where it laid for days, waiting for my mom to return it) and whooped up on Cao Cao's army. Go Wu family and go Xian Tai! (a character I created whose name almost kinda sounds like mine when I say it... he wears a turban and wears all white--something I could never do since I always manage to spill food on myself unless I take excruciating precautions).

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, I wore my uncle's old trenchcoat to school again today, but this time for entirely different reasons. See, this uncle of mine is Italian, and wearing his trenchcoat on Wednesday along with Hua's suggestion that he bring his today made me decide that I oughta wear mine again for "Decade Day" today. Which decade was I? Why, the 20s of course! I was an Italian mobster, hair all slicked back, nice shirt and shoes and pants on and everything. Sadly, I forgot to bring along a Thompson (Tommy Gun) and therefore appeared to my peers as more of a stock-broker. At first I tried to revamp the gangster look and had Eric draw in some sideburns and huge eyebrows (which were apparently very funny) with a crayola marker. Unfortunately, the mobster look wasn't a big hit still, and in the middle of lunch, good old John took me down to the library after I purchased a water-bottle. The reason? We decided to go for the stock-broker thing! ...A 1920s stock-broker in fact! Even more specifically, a stock-broker who just lost everything in the crash of 1929! Ha! I got to keep my decade, and most of my outfit! Now, back to the water-bottle. I stripped off the "Dasani" label and we went to the library to get some tape and replace it with a "VICTORY GIN" label (gotta love George Orwell). I then proceeded to remove my right shoe and screwed with my tie until it got really loose and ugly-looking. To cap it all off, I had a dude in my study hall marker in a unibrow, and voila! Disheveled stock-broker who moans about the world ending and talks to his best friend Shoey, at your service!

Ah, if only I had some pictures from that. No worries though, I actually do have one taken in my Multimedia class (before I turned broker) that I would love to share with any who desire it. So I'd better run, read some Hamlet, do some shiznock, and eat some puddin'. Peace out, and hasta la byebye.

Man... crrrrazy stuff going on. I just purchased a ticket to see The Strokes for $43.52 on ticketmaster.com. I sort of took time to gape at the number even though I knew it was going to be something very near that before I went on to order, but I guess seeing that there are 52 cents tacked on seems to somehow make it more expensive. However, this concert came highly recommended by Eric, Travis, & Co.--the same people who brought me to Radiohead for even MORE money--I think I can trust that I will quite enjoy this concert... especially if I get a chance to listen to some of their music beforehand... gonna have to talk to Eric about yoinking a CD for a while.

Oh! Happy Turkish Independence Day everyone! Long live the memory of Kemal Atatürk! I went to school today decked out in my uncle's old trenchcoat and waving a little Turkish flag with pride, wishing everyone a happy Independence Day and taking care to write up on the board (In Eco, Calculus, Multimedia, and Decathlon) for all the world to see. I carried around my little flag towards the end of the day instead of merely sticking it in my backpack like I did in the morning, and it was lots of fun... especially since I got to learn how many people couldn't tell the difference between a Turkish flag and a Soviet flag... well, that was actually more depressing than funny. I don't really mind being asked if I'm a communist, but if that question is provoked by carrying a red flag with a crescent and star, then I must goif in sadness.

As a result of this lack of knowledge about the Turkish flag, I have decided to begin a program designed to help educate today's youth about Turkey. I call it operation Educating America's Teenagers About Turkey's Just and Outstanding Ethical System (EATATJOES). The operation will consist of educating kids about Turkey's history and government and how they got to where they are today and how Turkey's secularism has truly made it a unique and rockin' nation... it will also include a comprehensive flag-identification unit where people will have to pick out Turkey's flag from among those of China, the USSR, Pakistan, Algeria, Singapore, Tunisia, and of course Israel (all of these countries except the first two have similar flags to Turkey's, and the first two were what prompted so much confusion about communism and stuff... oh, and Israel's just thrown in there to confuse the kids who weren't paying attention in class so they would think the one that doesn't look anything like the others is right... suckers). If anyone wishes to help set up project EATATJOES, then please scurry over to the site and volunteer!

Anyways, I'm gonna run now. Maybe I'll post more later... maybe. Until then, hasta la byebye.

Ahoy, folks. It's Tuesday night and homework exists up the wazoo (sp?) and beyond. Metawazoo, if you will.

Oh yes. How silly of me! I haven't blogged for more than five months. Good grief... I can't believe it's been that long. But sadly it had to be so since my template was down for a long time before I thought to myself "hey Cantay, why don't you go into your blogger account and check it out? See if you can fix the template." Well, surprisingly enough, it worked, and you're here. How are you here? I must have given you a link if you're reading this within a week of the posting time. You should feel honored. If you're here more than a week after the posting date, then you have the distinct pleasure of looking upon archived Cantay material, which is likely already worth millions.

But to think, I would not be pattering away at these keys as I am if I hadn't been trying to avoid doing my (late) English homework... wait.... yes I would. But I'd be pattering about Christopher Marlowe and "Doctor Faustus" and I'd be doing it much slower--thesis still coming along, you know.

I'm trying to think if there's anything particularly important I oughta tell you about before I scamper off into the sunset... nope! Well... except for the fact that in Physics we just got assigned our catapult project. I have discussed the teaming up with John, Tae (heh... if you combine their names, you get something almost like mine), and Travis, however I have not yet told them my conditions for joining their group (I'm a hot commodity... only dude in any of Mr. Fannin's classes to get a 100 on his most recent test... can I get a whoop-whoop?). What are my conditions you ask?

1) I take command of the group and receive a really cool sounding title.
2) I have final say in what our team name shall be... it has to sound really cool.

I'm working on more right now, but I'm not exactly devoting much thought to it, so it'll probably stay at two for a while.

On that happy note, I'll close this reopening blog and screw around with my settings and then maybe do my homework. What a novel thought! So remember boys and girls, always make sure to brush all the tinfoil out of your teeth before you go to bed. Hasta la byebye.
