The sound of your own voice
I take no shame in saying I like the sound of my own voice. But I do recognize a big problem when, in a class of 13, I'm doing a large amount of the talking. To my credit, most of it was to answer questions put forth by the teacher because I knew the answers, but a good bit was just me giving my opinion on whatever somebody would ask or inquisitively say. Like, a lot. Those are the sorts of things I can leave other people to talk about, but in my giddy nerdiness I just couldn't stop babbling.
This took place in my erstwhile Henry VIII (now Indian Independence) class for those wanting some modicum of context. I'm still kind of jittery from the nerd rush.
