Reporting! Live! From the computer so conveniently available to me at my desk in my calculus class!

Yeah, class'll be starting in about twelve minutes. And let me tell you that it will most certainly be rather swell, particularly owing to my absence yesterday. Makes a fellow want to squee his pants off.

Some fellows are randomly fixing things in the ceiling of this room too. Lots of odd noises. Always fun.

But anyway, on to more exciting matters!

Yesterday my house was apparently telephoned at 1326 hours (CDT) and a message was left on the answering machine. Apparently someone in the wide world of financial services somehow got wind of my existence, and they want to consider me for a nonspecific-as-of-yet position. I went ahead and gave them a call, and the dude was all, "Yeah man, you should totally come down at like 7 tonight, yo." This would have been a great idea but for the fact that I scheduled myself to work at Tutor.com from 1900 to 2100 hours. It was like the first time that I'd been able to schedule myself all summer and I didn't want to give that up (plus I would have had to email them because of the short-notice cancellation and that's just not fun--especially when you're not entirely sure whether or not you're technically allowed to schedule hours in your present circumstances as I am).

So instead I shall do a group interview sometime next week (heheheheh group interview)!

But I'm excited. Sure, the company is Primerica Financial Services, which is owned by Citigroup, which is kind of scary, but can you imagine? The experience, man, the experience! And who knows, if I work with savings or anything, I might be able to help push the real savings rate in America back into positive territory. What an achievement that would be! Some people just get really smashed in college. When people ask me what I did, I'd just be like, "I helped make the savings rate positive again, bitch!"

Not that I know exactly what the present real savings rate is, nor exactly what Primerica deals with that would possibly be related to the savings rate, but there's always a hope. And of course, there's always that significant but very unpleasant chance that I will crash and burn and get nothing. (Except I'm too awesome to get nothing. I got 3rd place in Interview at state, remember? Blam!)

And that's all she wrote for now. The professor has walked in. It's time to write stuff periodically, but mostly just kind of zone out.

(And heya Sarosh! ^.^ W00t for pkblogs.com!)

Hasta la byebye, bitches!
