You know what I've never done before? Ever?
I have never written a I-need-to-put-off-work blog on Saturday. I mean... God dammit! It's fucking Saturday! I never work on Saturday! Ever!
But look at me. Here I am. Working on Saturday. You know why? I'll tell you why. In choppy sentences. Each with four words. Or less.
I have three bloody papers due on Tuesday. Three of them! I've written a grand total of two so far this year! And both of them were for the same class! (One of the three that I'm writing now is for said class.)
I was thinking to myself (up until now) that this college thing was a piece of cake. Not too much work, you know? But no! Now they're going to make me work! Damn these back-loaded classes--it's only going to get worse from here. The longest paper I have to write for the weekend is 3-4 pages, which is really no sweat. But I have three more coming up at about the same time, with lengths of 3-4 pages, 5-7 pages, and 10 pages. Dammit! And look how much trouble I'm having with these! THEY'RE BABIES!
Alas, so it must go.
I'm a bit worried though (damn... this worrying thing is getting to me). I yawned approximately seventy-four times in the past thirty seconds--discounting the fact that that's physically impossible, it's very discouraging, since it indicates that I also need to actually try sleeping too.
And even more trouble--I'm down to about $250 on my meal plan. This puts me at a daily allowance of about $5-6 per day for food. Which is enough to sustain a person in DC.
If they eat one meal per day. And buy nothing else.
So yeah, not looking too good. I've already planned to head down to an ATM when funds really start to dwindle, but cash sucks, dammit. For one thing, if you pay with cash, you have to pay 10% tax on whatever you buy (which I don't have to do if I pay with my GWorld card at the food center thingy right next door). For another thing, taking money from your folks really doesn't feel too good when they're making special arrangements just to send you to where you are. But I figure it'll be all right... I just hope I don't have to withdraw too much.
So let's wrap this up with some good news!
I... have an A or an A- in all of my classes so far. I think. Well... we'll find out about Islam on Tuesday. Only grade we have in there so far is the midterm which hasn't been returned to us yet. And sadly, I'm not feeling too hot about that. But! One of the papers I'm turning in on Tuesday is for Islam, so maybe that will help to bump things a bit. I hope.
And now I'd better waste a few more minutes before eating an early dinner--of course, I'm pretty much out of steam for writing, so now I'll use some steam for minesweeper! Shazam!
Hasta la byebye, kids.
