Hello folks, your friendly neighborhood Turk here, recently returned from an Academic Decathlon dinner. However, before I start talking about the events of recent days, there is a matter of business that must be seen to.

I've been considering doing it ever since I started getting unhappy commenters last night, and since Dalin has actually asked me to, I'm going to go ahead and do it.

The matter? A simple apology and disclaimer:

Everything written in the hate blog below was written in jest. I feel no hate for any of the people, and actually respect and like all of them a great deal. I consider all of these people to be my friends, and I don't want any offense taken from the hate blog to get in between that. If I hit closer to home than you would have liked, I apologize, because that was not my intention; sometimes it can be difficult to come up with unique-sounding insults for so many people.

Believe it or not, it was meant to be an honor to have your name put on this hate blog. I've been criticized for having bad taste and I've also received considerable acclaim. I'm sorry that my intentions were not clear--though some blurriness was meant to be a source of humor, it was not supposed to get to the point where people considered what I was saying to be serious at all.

I will not, however, delete anything written below, nor will I delete or edit anything else published on this blog. Ever.

Once again, to those who have taken offense, I apologize because I was unclear. You'll probably be hearing more from me in a more personal sense if you have.
