By popular demand, here is another blog! ::Waits for the applause to die down a bit before continuing:: I'm terribly sorry for having kept you fine folk waiting for so long, but I have this tendency to forget things and then put things off when I remember them. I would like to take this moment to thank my friends for doinking me extensively until I did this. And now, for the blog.

Many events have been skipped, so the ones I can remember I'll go over briefly: as it turns out, the whole time I was talking to you guys on my blog, I had an English paper whose due date kept approaching closer and closer. Well, I didn't do it... on time. I ended up turning the puppy in on Friday (as opposed to on Tuesday when it should have been done). However, I'm quite glad that I did turn it in, and its reception may well mark a turning point in the year... except it may be difficult since I had a paragraph I was to write for a quiz-grade due on Friday as well that I didn't do because of the cursed research paper. Ah, Doctor Faustus! Why must you torment me? But it's done. Let's not harp on that further.

Our catapult project was due on Wednesday. And.... ::Wait for it, wait for it:: we actually did it! Of course, it took us a damn long time to make, us being me, Tae, John (whose blog is now finally on my links page... sorry for the delay, there), and Travis, collectively known as Team No Name. Ah, it was quite beautiful. First we started building, then we argued over the design, then the first signs of wear started to show before we even got to fire the thing, then we saw that a spring would never work, then we realized that the screwdriver drill bit that we got while get the elastic cables was way too large for our screws, then we figured out that my trigger design sucked up the wazoo, then we started firing, then the catapult started breaking, then we put tape everywhere, then the arm started breaking and we put tape on that, then the arm actually broke, then I went home while my friends made another arm, then that arm broke, then John went ahead and made two arms, then we put more tape over the whole thing, then we took it to school with me riding in the back of the truck to make sure the thing doesn't break, then we get to school and start firing, then we almost hit the target! W00t! It all culminated in a 95! (which actually turned into a 90 because our catapult was apparently too big, but who cares?!) Ah, it was good to have gotten a good grade, and on the last shot too. ^.^

Them Strokes has a concert on the eighth, baby! It was downright awesome, though my ears stopped ringing after only a day. I guess it sorta helps to be deaf sometimes (;. But I have to say, even if I didn't know any of the song's titles or the lyrics well enough to be able to sing along out loud or in my head, it was a damn awesome show, and Eric's lending of ye olde CDs to me was extremely helpful, cause I was at least able to get acquainted with the songs and know when the tempo changed so that when they suddenly started breaking out some badass guitar, I was able to jump along without a second thought. Ah, and at the concert there were these folks behind us who were pushing all throughout The Kings of Leon's show (they were the band that came on after the opening lady and just before The Strokes). Apparently, they were trying to get past us for something. We could let that happen, especially when they'd sort of forgotten to ask if we'd let them move through peacefully. It got so bad at one point that I literally grabbed this rather large female who was behind me (sticking my hand nicely into her armpit, too) and pushed back really really hard until she fell into the throng behind her. One member of said throng was particularly unhappy with me and yelled some things which were probably like "What the fuck, man?!" Of course, I couldn't actually hear him, so I can't be sure what he said. I just held out an open palm in apology and turned back around. Thankfully, by the time The Strokes came on, the situation resolved itself as the pushing posse found its way ahead of us and it was all good, with lots of jumping and stuff.

In other news, you guys remember the game Dynasty Warriors 4, right? Well, I thought that the matter had been taken care of, as I gave the game to my mother soon after I made my most recent blog. ::Waits for the audience's anticipation, then continues:: Well, it wasn't! ::Pauses to let the gasps be heard:: That's right folks, the matter was not taken care of. My poor mother completely forgot about returning the thing and only remembered to do so yesterday. Remember what I said about the fees and that it may have been cheaper just to buy it? Well, it was cheaper just to buy it, and that's just what my mom did. $40 and now I own Dynasty Warriors 4, the greatest hack 'n slash game to come out on PS2. ::Sigh:: If only it were something that deserved $40... ah well. I guess I'll have some fun with it for a while... eventually.

In other other news, Eric's party was on Friday. Boy, after turning in that paper in English and having the weight taken off my chest, I felt ready to go. I got there early to hang out with Eric and family a bit and got to see some Simpsons Road Rage and Mario Kart for Gamecube... that was a lot of fun. Once the party started, I got my groove on, but I, much like my friend Airon (whose blog I have finally managed to put on the link list... sorry it took so long, dude), did just a little bit too much dancing at the beginning (though it was some of my best dancing ever, I must say) and as a result had to sit down a lot during the rest of the party... having a hacking cough didn't really help matters either, since that sort of tends to make you more tired and more dependent on liquid refreshment. However, despite all of that, I managed to do more dancing as the party wore on. Among other highlights of the evening that center around me were the lovely bit of pseudo-folk dancing I did during one song (curse the fact that I can't remember which one), being the first one out of like twenty guys eliminated from the improvised limbo thing, and managing to stick my voice on all four of Airon's phoneblogs! It was a good party (:. Of course, now my feet are really sore, and for some inexplicable reason, my neck is pretty stiff, though it has gotten better since Saturday. Ah, but kudos to Eric for hosting that puppy, and happy birthday to Eric and Jessica (it was a joint-party)! I wish you well now that you guys are 18 and can legally view pornography! Heheh... I thought it was a nice touch .

Anyways folks, that'll be it for now. Oh, and I may transcribe some (or all) of Airon's phoneblogs to this spot, so check back with reasonable frequency for that. But until then, my band of chihuahuas, hasta la byebye!
